Always get your cat (and dog) spayed or neutered. Niagara Feline Friends sponsors a low cost spay and neuter clinic for cats. It is held once a month usually on a Sunday. The cost is $75.00. For additional charges you can have your pet checked and treated for ear mites, worms and fleas. A test can also be run for feline leukemia and FIV. For more information or to make an appointment call 754-2050 Tuesday - Friday 2-5 pm
Please keep your cat indoors. He is more apt to lead a longer life. Do not feel a cat needs to go outside to be happy. Set up a window perch where he can safely enjoy watching the birds from the inside of his home. If you take him outside use an enclosed area where he would be safe.
Declawing is a very painful procedure. If you must declaw your cat please call around to find a veterinarian who performs the surgey with a laser. It is a more humane way to have your cat declawed
During shedding season  if you don't want to step on a wet hairball, brush us every day.  If your pretty kitty does not like to be brushed, try different brushes and combs.  Some cats don't like to be brushed, as they prefer to leave their lovely fur all over their owners as a reminder of how precious they are
During flea and tick season remember even indoor cats need protection as humans can carry the nasty fleas in on their socks and pant legs
